Florence is worth showing up for.

Florence is more than the place I call home. It is a community of people who create, build, volunteer, care for their neighbors, raise families, run businesses, and find ways to get things done.

I love this community.....and I believe local government works best when it is accessible, transparent, responsive and willing to do the work.

I’m Jo Beaudreau: a Florence small-business owner, working parent, active community member and current City Councilor. My approach to public service is simple: listen carefully, ask questions (even difficult ones), learn, and bring people together.

Florence is growing and changing. The decisions we make today about housing, infrastructure, economic opportunities, public safety and the character of our community will shape what it is like to live here for years to come.

I want residents to understand those decisions, have a meaningful voice in them, and know that someone is willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work.
